This was the second Chinese restaurant in Malta that we tried and it's by far our favorite. Both the veggie lo mein and shrimp lo mein are BOMB! That's what we order the most. The shrimp with broccoli is good. When had my sisters and little cousins for a couple weeks and they loved this place as well. They had sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, plain fried rice and shrimp fried rice. They loved it ALL. I've had the chicken wings maybe 4 times, 2 of the times they were amazing the other 2 they were just meh. But we don't eat chicken often and just decided to skip that menu item. They are affordable and we'll continue to patron this establishment.

My barometer for Chinese food is General Tso Chicken and pork fried rice- USUALLY! I have never thought about how clean a place may be. I was in a hotel nearby and called in my order. I got here and was shocked how gross this place is. The girl doing the cash register, many times, touched food. I know that is a health violation. The food was fair, chicken was overcooked and pork fried rice had no flavor. The Coca-cola was excellent! I will not return and I would not recommend this place. I never noticed the "health department" rating on Yelp. Now I will check all the places I eat. I travel a lot. I try to eat at local places and not chains. Sometimes PF Chang is there to solve a problem!

From the couple of Chinese restaurants in the area this place is hands down the best. Just moved here from California and have had a lot of great Chinese food. This place is definitely a take out type of restaurant, small family owned, and in a shopping center, which if anyone knows those are the best types of restaurants.

Very good authentic! Great service. Very small inside but has about 4 booths if you want to sit inside to eat. Mainly I think it's majority take out. Will be back for sure!

Best Chinese takeout I've found in the area by a considerable margin. Portions are huge and the food tastes fresh and a lot less oily than the norm. Check the "Chef's Special" menu which has some hard to find items like Orange Beef and Wor Shu (pressed) Duck. Lunch specials are an excellent value; I got the spicy shrimp and broccoli with hot & sour soup and it set me back a little over 5 bucks.

Go on the website before your visit and print out some coupons; I got a free order of Kung Pao chicken with my $30 takeout order. It was rolled in cornstarch rather than dipped in batter before frying as you usually get it--more meat and less fat and starch. The only downside (and this is not necessarily a criticism, just a comment) is that without the breading the dishes tend to have a brown cast to them so they're less visually attracting than not-so-good for you Chinese takeout. But we're here for the taste, and that's excellent.

Do they have chopsticks for the asking? Yes. Do they give you those awful fried noodles in a packet? No. Two indications they care about the food at Tasty Chinese, instead of just serving up grease pillows.
